AC Milan management could shift interest in new transfer deal which is possible at zero cost once the current season ends.
The Rossoneri managers, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have signed in the latest summer's mercato window Alessandro Florenzi on loan from AS Roma. The 30-year-old Italian full-back, though, has not managed to impress in the minutes he played in. Besides, he recently had a surgery which will keep him out of the field for some time.

AC Milan directors eyeing up transfer of Barcelona youth product...
In this sense, Paolo Maldini has identified a possible profile to bring to Milanello and replace Florenzi. The name is Sergi Roberto of Spanish giants Barcelona.
For the Barcelona right-back, the renewal with the Blaugrana seems difficult. The defender is earning just under 4 million euros and the Rossoneri could choose to purse this idea.
As reported by Calciomercatoweb.it, everything now depends on how Alessandro Florenzi performs once he's back to the field after recoring from the knee surgery. The coming months will certainly indicate if AC Milan will try to attempt signing Sergi Roberto as Calabria's deputy or not.

Sergi Roberto is a Spanish 29 year-old right-back. So far with Barça, who are sitting 9th in La Liga table, he has played in 8 matches, he scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist.
