Alessio Romagnoli, former Roma centre-back, has been at AC Milan for quite some time, about 7 years now. His contract is set to end in June 2022.
The team captain has been relegated to the bench after the arrival of Fikayo Tomori. However, he still managed to play some games in order to replace injured Simon Kjaer this season. AC Milan would like to keep him because quality depth and rotation is highly needed in long difficult campaigns.
According to journalist of Calciostyle, Sebastiano Sarno, Romagnoli has given an ultimatum to the agent, Mino Raiola, who represents him in negotiations:
"I want a renewal with Milan or I change agents"
The player has been a rock for Milan during hard and dark times and even chose to renew his contract when the club's situation was uncertain with the Chinese ownership.
