Sandro Tonali is showcasing his true worth and skills in this season with the Rossoneri under the guidance of coach Stefano Pioli.
The Italian midfielder is making good progress and appreciates the support and love from the AC Milan fans as he said to StarCasinò:
"The ovation from the fans at San Siro against Torino? They are beautiful emotions that no one experienced last year. Going back to doing it this year, especially for me who had a difficult year, is a very strong emotion that I will always carry inside. But, let's say we haven't done anything yet. We have to aim higher and higher, go slowly and understand that we have not done anything yet."
On the goals he scored against Cagliari and Atalanta:
"The first was a free kick that we had tried the day before and it came out perfectly, everything went well. Having done it at San Siro was the icing on the cake. The second goal was against Atalanta. It was a match that made us understand that we are really a great team. Going to Bergamo and winning like that... We played well, fighting on all the balls, made everyone understand that we are a great team and we can do great things together."
Tonali on his First idol as a child?
"There have been many, Gattuso, Pirlo, Kaká, I could say many names. All my idols were Milan icons. Seeing them play was nice even if I remember little, even Paolo (Maldini). They are all idols for the fans and for myself."
Do you remember the first AC Milan match you saw?
"I was really small, I don't remember the first but I've seen many with my father. The one I remember best was that of 1-0 against Chievo with a goal from Seedorf at the last minute. Scoring after a bad match and winning at the last minute is always great. You understand that you have been lucky, that you have played until the last minute and that you have given everything."
On the improvement in performances:
"There are always many aspects to improve in football. I'm trying to improve consistency, which is fundamental in football but is very difficult to have. This is a point on which I work, then there are others for which I work every day together with my teammates and together with the coach."
Tonali On what he will remember of his time with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Pioli:
"A lot, everything. With Ibra it was an emotion from the first training session, you see him on television and at the stadium as a child, then you manage to play with him and it's a beautiful thing. Pioli was the first 'coach' I had here at Milan and we are still having him, he is our leader and he is a fantastic person. I will remember everything from these seasons."
Which teams are you most afraid of for the Scudetto challenge:
"There are many teams, the championship has just begun. The top seven teams can play for it, every game can end in any way. In my opinion, it is a ranking still to be waited for."
Tomorrow, you face Porto in the Champions League...
"There are many feelings and desires, especially those to win. Seeing Milan at zero points is bad, leaving aside our mistakes and the mistakes of others we are still at zero points and this is not good, useless to go around it", said Tonali, "The first thought is to win also because we play in our home, and even against Atletico Madrid we saw the first minutes in 11 against 11 we played the game at a high level, we scored 1-0 and we were continuing to play."
