Coach Stefano Pioli, in view of tomorrow's match against Porto in the Champions League, spoke to the microphones of Milan TV:
"We are at a very high level. We got to know our opponents well in the first leg. We know their qualities. It is a team that is doing very well, a very fast team with quality players. It is clear that there will be difficulties, but we must certainly try to field our best possible performance because we want to reverse the trend in Europe."
On preparation:
"The work is daily. Our preparation must always be optimal and we must always to give our best. Of course, we play every three days and the players must be strong especially from a mental point of view, it is not easy to prepare games from the point of view of concentration, of how you want to live them. But I coach a very responsible team, very eager, they have a great desire to demonstrate", declared Pioli.
On the team's aim:
"We train and always try to go on the pitch with the right mentality. We know how to read the moments of the match well, we know how to interpret them well, we know how to remain a team with continuity."
Pioli continued:
"I think we have to stay very focused on our work, thinking from game to game. We are only at the beginning of the season, we know very well what the external moods may be but we know that things can change quickly. We have to keep the level of our performance high. Two very important matches await us before reaching the break (Porto and Inter). Now the head is only on tomorrow's match, so the other things are of little interest to us."
