AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli spoke with the media during the press conference after the match against Inter.
Here are his words:
"This match will improve our awareness. It shows us that the level in Italy is very high. We are obliged to stay focused and determined."
On why he chose to put Brahim Diaz on the right and keep Saelemaekers on the bench:
"The choices were made because in the last game Saelemaekers seems to be in decline, then I wanted to remove references to the opponents with two elements in the attacking midfield."
On having a 7-point lead on Inter:
"I believe that seven points at this time are not much", said Pioli, "I think Inter are very strong. Four-five teams will fight to the end."
On the fans:
"They thought about the category of professionals who fought against Covid-19 during such a match. It is wonderful."
On Milan's next league games:
"The matches with Genoa, Udinese and Fiorentina will make the difference. Then as soon as we get back we will have a complicated week with the away match in Madrid, I hope my internationals do well."
Pioli continued to say:
"The quality of the game with spirit and determination gives you more chances to win. Matches must be fought. I liked the mentality. We started so well last year too, let's stay focused."
