AC Milan's chances of finding an agreement with Franck Kessié for a contract extension is very slim currently due to the big gap between offer and demand in terms of yearly salary.
According to this morning's print edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri's main target is Renato Sanches. In fact, the Rossoneri intend to accelerate negotiations with Lille to secure the player's arrival. The Portuguese midfielder's contract expires in June 2023. The relations with Lille are excellent and Paolo Maldini has received good signs from the player's entourage regarding a potential transfer.
AC Milan, to sign Renato Sanches, must dig deep into their pockets as the pricetag is around 35 million euros, which is way too much for the Rossoneri especially during an ongoing season, in the winter session. There is a lot of competition on Renato Sanches from top European clubs right now, but the club want to book the player and anticipate the attempts of other teams.
