Alessio Romagnoli's contract is set to expire at the end of the season. AC Milan management, led by Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara want to keep the captain on their own financial parameters.
As reported by Alfredo Pedullà, a meeting could be set between the Rossoneri directors and the central defender's entourage to discuss a possible contract extension this week. The player earns a lot of money which Milan want to reduce.
As for Romagnoli's part, he is giving priority to Milan contract extension. Juventus, on the other hand have only made some exploratory polls.
The Italian 26-year-old defender has not been a starter for Milan since the arrival of Fikayo Tomori, but he has proved himself a valuable rotation option. He also showed willingness to fight for his spot in the squad and prove his talent to coach Stefano Pioli.
