The African Cup of Nations is supposed to be scheduled in January 2022 in Cameroon. However, there is much talk concerning the tournament as many reports in recently are questioning if the above-mentioned country is ready to host the cup.
Now, the European Club Association has informed the CAF and FIFA authorities that in view of lack of adequate health measures taken by CAF in relation to the prevention against COVID-19, the European clubs have no intention to release their African players to participate in the competition (as reported by journalist specialist in African football Nuhu Adams)
