Coach Stefano Pioli, who saw his team lose against Spalletti's Napoli at the San Siro 1-0, spoke to the media this way during the press conferece:
"The numbers never lie. After the break we lost too many games. Tonight's performance was a positive performance in terms of intensity, energy and will. We are missing the last play, which is the decisive one. We are not in the best moment, at the first goal we concede a goal: we conceded a stupid one and we let ourselves be surprised. For the performance we did not deserve to lose, we proved to be strong too."
Is there a problem with scoring goal now for your side?
"This is the first Serie A game in which we don't score. We could have been more lucid."
Pioli on if injuries are the real limit of his AC Milan team:
"We had an excellent game from the point of view of the spirit. I think Napoli have never had so little possession. We have won many games thanks to individual plays. I take home sadness, but also confidence in our work."
On the disallowed goal:
"The referee immediately referred to Atalanta-Roma, but that doesn't interest me. Palomino tried to intervene there, while today Giroud was on the ground and could not do anything to intervene. It was worse not to warn Demme at the beginning of the game."
