Legendary former AC Milan coach, Arrigo Sacchi, talked about AC Milan's position in the Serie A race. Here are his words, as transcribed by La Gazzetta dello Sport:
"Pioli's Milan, after the splendid second place in the championship last year, has started the new season in a great way. Then the Rossoneri were less of a team. Can they go back to winning and convincing? Yes, as long as they don't lose modesty and playfulness."
Sacchi continued:
"Then, perhaps too many commitments, many injuries and perhaps a lower group ethics, led the Rossoneri to be less of a team and therefore to show limits of individual values. It is a young group, it cannot have the experience and knowledge of more mature teams. Extraordinary enthusiasm and great generosity had highlighted his technical values. Perhaps the players thought they were very strong and could play individually and they paid the consequences."
