Speaking to Corriere della Sera's Sette, Paolo Maldini also discussed Arrigo Sacchi's Milan:
"Maybe we could have won with another coach as well. But, that team is remembered because it created something unique, and it was the beginning of the great cycle of the AC Milan. And I believe that without the advent of Arrigo, the history of Milan in the last 25 years would have been very different. Because it was his frantic search for perfection that transformed us into what we have become."
"We were unbeatable in the decisive game, but we lost many championships. The pursuit of perfection means that you cannot be perfect for eleven months in a row.
