AC Milan's performances have improved so well since Stefano Pioli took over the job from Marco Giampaolo whose brief period at the club was lacklustre and frustrating.
The Italian boss has been good at bringing the best out of the young stars in the squad such as Theo Hernandez, Davide Calabria and Rafael Leao. It is true, however, that he has been unlucky with injuries that have always hindered the continuity.
The target for Stefano Pioli and his men for now is to beat Juventus in the next Serie A game. But overall, the goal is to finish in the top 4 and why not push for the Scudetto.
Former AC Milan forward, Antonio Cassano, however, is thinking about the period that is beyond Pioli's tenure. For him, Antonio Conte should be the next coach to take over after Pioli. Here are his words to BoboTV:
"Tottenham? Conte is doing a great job. But the club has done almost nothing in the market, usually he chooses teams to try to win as he did with Juve and with Juventus. Inter. Can Conte return to Italy? He won with Juve, he won with Inter. It came to my mind: I'm convinced that not now, but July 2023, I don't know why... I see him at Milan."
