AC Milan centre-forward Olivier Giroud scored two goals which brought 3 important points against Inter Milan. Here are his words:
"As I said before the game, it's a special challenge: you win a derby. We were in trouble in the first half, while in the second we got back into the game. I was hoping for one or two balls in the area: the first is a bit lucky, the second is a good ball from Calabria. I am very happy and proud also for the fans: we are a team that never wants to give up."
On the frustration after the first half:
"We score goals in the area. It's true that I was a bit frustrated in the first half like the whole team, we knew we didn't play well. We showed a great team spirit, all together: We are back."
Giroud concludes:
"The derbies are always won, but now the road is still long. We are still in the race, but there are still many games left and Inter remain leaders. We have to do things well, win and then see what they do."
