Rafael Leao continues to impress during this season with AC Milan. He is finally continuing to unleash his true skills and potential at the San Siro. The Portuguese winger had a spectacular game against Lazio in the last game in Coppa Italia and now the fans are hoping that he continues to build on that performance going into Sunday's fixture.
Mario Sconcerti is sure that Leao can hit his peak form in a couple of years and even become among the best in the world in his position, as per his interview to Corriere della Sera:
"Leao is a second striker. He prepares the goal for the others and scores enough on his own, he is an ideal second striker. He is in a moment of growth, this brings him more continuity, he is making progress on everything. After all, he is not yet 23."
He added:
"It is possible that Rafael Leao will be one of the best forwards in the world in a couple of seasons. But, he will have to score between 12 to 15 goals per championship to do that. Today, he is at 6 goals in 20 games (in Serie A). He is a joyful athlete, he needs beauty, there is never vulgarity in his plays. In fact, he commits very few fouls. The intertwining of his progress full of pauses, changes of direction, and his athletic power, makes him an almost impregnable player at the beginning of the action and in progression. It's a little coordination show. It is his habit of accuracy that makes him vulnerable at times. It is as if he were asking for a perfection that is difficult to find with care on a field where the ball always has a life of its own."
"A little more continuity and 'nastiness' and Leao will be very close to the champions", concluded Mario Sconcerti his opinion.
