Theo Hernandez, fresh from a contract renewal with AC Milan, talked to the club's official channel, and said the following words, revealing his happiness to extend his stay with the Rossoneri family:
"I'm very happy. From the first day I arrived here I had a great time with the coach, the team, Maldini and everyone. Now, we have to keep going forward like this. It is true that there were many teams who wanted me, but I only thought about Milan and staying here."
"I'm here with the fans. I'm really very happy here, with friends and teammates, engaged with a baby on the way. I'm really happy."
He added:
"What did Maldini and Massara told me? We were joking. But what he (Maldini) wanted to say to me he had already told me when I came here. I know what he said to me from day one."
On becoming one of the best in the world in his position:
"I'm still young, I have to grow day by day. I don't have to say if I'm better than others, people have to say that. Pioli has improved me in everything, both as a person and in the game; from the first day I arrived he has said I have to do what I know and now I am doing it. People, my family and my companions help me."
Theo Hernandez continued:
"I like attacking rather than defending. My idea, when I catch the ball, is to drive forward to the goalkeeper. Then if someone is there I pass it (laughs). Our left wing is devastating. Rafa is an incredible player, fast and technical; but he is young, he still needs to grow."
When a defender sees you aiming, what do you think they're thinking in their minds?
"Holy sh*t, I have to get out of here."
On wearing the captain's armband before at Milan:
"The coach told me so, but I thought it was a joke. It was true."
Did the rest of the players help your decision to sign on the renewal?
"We are a beautiful family. Sometimes we all go out together, we are like a family. This is why I stayed here, because I am happy with the fans and with my teammates."
How do you live the pre-game?
"I'm calm, I don't have the anxiety in the days before the game. The day of the aprtita I concentrate, I think about what I have to do to give everything."
Theo Hernandez on the best day since his arrival to Milan:
"The first day was the best. It's not easy when you don't play for another team, you don't have this confidence. Here they gave me confidence and thanks to that I became the player who I am now."
Your best goal with Milan?
"With Udinese, it's good, on the fly."

Best thing about your day?
"It's when I come home and see her (his partner, Zoe) with her stomach, she eats everything ... It's beautiful. She doesn't tell me anything about how to play, she just tells me things outside of football. She doesn't understand anything about football."
On the fans' support:
"It's an incredible love. Thanks to the fans who love me so much, I think it's because I'm doing things well... The story continues with me here. Forza Milan Sempre."
