Last night, AC Milan failed to grab the full points away from home against Salernitana who are the last in the Serie A league table. Stefano Pioli's side gained only one point after drawing 2-2 in a frustrating game. 56 points are accumulated thus far with 25 games played.
The Rossoneri fans, who were holding on for hope to remain in the race for the Scudetto kept their attention on Inter's game against Sassuolo tonight.
Fortunately for the club supporters and red and black faithful, Inter have lost 2-0 against the Neroverdi at the San Siro. The Nerazzurri were hoping to return to the first spot. However, they failed to dominate and convert their chances against Alessio Dionisi's squad who were very organised and motivated.
Goals by Giacomo Raspadori (assist by Domenico Berardi) and Gianluca Scamacca (assist by Hamed Traroé) gave Sassuolo three precious points and much needed luck to AC Milan.

Now, all eyes are on Napoli's fixture who face Cagliari tomorrow. But more importantly, Milan must focus on their own next challenge in the Serie A against Udinese. In the first leg, that clash ended in a 1-1 draw. Much concentration and organisation, which were missing against Salernitana, are needed to stay on top, even temporarily, since Inter are still missing one more game.
