The AC Milan owners, American hedge fund Elliott Management Corporation, want to make the squad competitive by allocating a decent budget for the summer's transfer window.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport in today's print edition, the club will have around 100 million euros, ready to be committed into the next mercato which starts in July. It is definitely an important fee which would very useful. Last summer, between the permanent signings of Fikayo Tomori, Sandro Tonali and the arrivals of Fodé Ballo-Touré, Mike Maignan, Olivier Giroud, loan fees of Alessandro Florenzi, Pietro Pellegri, Tiémoué Bakayoko, Brahim Diaz, Junior Messias and the signing of Yacine Adli, the club spent around 75 million euros. So a 100 million euros, on the occasion of qualifying to Champions League for the second time in a row is not really a far-fetched story.

The targets for Elliott's AC Milan:
The club is targeting some important players for the summer and they can even spend more than 100 million euros in the event of winning the Scudetto, writes the Italian newspaper.
In fact, to reinforce the defence and midfield the targets are Sven Botman and his teammate at Lille Renato Sanches (The Portuguese had a very impressive game against Chelsea in last night's Champions League fixture).

To bolster the striker's position, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are monitoring French centre-forward Hugo Ekitike who is 19 years old. He plays for Reims and has a contract valid until 2024 with 10 goals and 4 assists in 24 games this season so far.

For the wings, Milan would be eyeing up a transfer for 24-year-old left-winger of Tottenham Steven Bergwijn as he is struggling to find space in Antonio Conte's system. His contract runs out in 2025. The former PSV star has featured in 18 games with just a total of 723 minutes played. He has 3 goals and 2 assists to his name across all competitions.
