Alessio Romagnoli who is the captain of AC Milan was the partner of Fikayo Tomori in the defence in last night's frustrating draw against Udinse.
The Rossonero number 13 spoke at length to Milan TV about the draw and in particular, about Udogie's goal which was allowed despite being a handball. Here are his statements:
"We thought and we were hoping for a few more minutes of recovery, they played their game and lost a lot of time, especially after the 1-1, but that's not an excuse. Sorry for the result because we took the lead but we weren't good at keeping it."
Romagnoli added:
"The handball goal? Strangely this year there have often been such incidents. It is strange that with the VAR, which was put in place to clarify, there are these errors, also because according to everyone, even according to Udogie, he took it in hand."
"We are sorry because could have taken a few more points but we'll think about the next game", said the captain before continuing: "We noticed the touch of the hand, but in my opinion more than the referee is the VAR, with the cameras. We certainly have to grow in management of the games. Udinese is a tough team to face but we had to be better at managing the match better", concluded Romagnoli his interview.
