AC Milan's management is always planning for the next transfer window which officially starts in July. The Rossoneri directors, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are aware that there must be a few more additions to give Stefano Pioli a competitive and rich squad.

One of the areas to reinforce for the red and black faithful is the midfield, especially in view of the likely exit of Franck Kessié who has a market in spain, from FC Barcelona in particular.
In this sense, according to BILD, the managing directors of AC Mila, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have set their sights on German central midfielder of Benfica; Julian Weigl.

To let him go, however, the Portuguese club would want to receive a fee of at least 20 million euros which is certainly not a simple offer for the Rossoneri to make. The Rossoner are not the only club after the signature of Weigl. In fact, fellow Serie A club, AS Roma, who are coached by José Mourinho, want to sign the 26-year-old.
