The AC Milan team failed to grab the win against Inter. A goalless draw was the final result of yesterday's fixture as both team could not be seperated.
The Rossoneri were given an overall rating of 6.5 by today's edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport. The best player on the pitch was Rafael Leao as he was the source of danger in the first half thanks to his dribbling skills and speed. He received a rating of 6.5. Theo Hernandez showed a lot of effort like his Portuguese teammate on the left flank and had the same rating as him. They share the same mark with Fikayo Tomori as well as Alessandro Florenzi who worked hard in the defensive phase.
Next, Mike Maignan who was not threatened much received a 6 rating for his clean sheet. Same for the AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli, Franck Kessie, Alexis Saelemaekers, Ismael Bennacer, Rade Krunic, Pierre Kalulu and Junior Messias.
Brahim Diaz continues his drought as he was brought on to help the team find a goal, but his efforts were not enough. La Gazzetta granted him a 5.5 rating, same as Ante Rebic. The worst player on the pitch, however, was French centre-forward Olivier Giroud with a 5.
In this derby, the best rated player was Inter's goalkeeper (7) as he had many important saves that denied AC Milan the victory in this Coppa Italia semi-final first leg.
