AC Milan have renewed contracts of several players this season such as Simon Kjaer, Davide Calabria, Alexis Saelemaekers, Matteo Gabbia and Theo Hernandez. Now, there is ongoing work to continue on this path by securing a couple more players.

The next one on the agenda is reportedly Rafael Leao, as per Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian expert wrote to Blackchronicle.com about the situation of the Portuguese left-winger by explaining that the club has decided to start negotiations for an extension:
"The Portuguese winger is enjoying an excellent season with AC Milan, with 11 goals and six assists in all competitions. The club has decided to start negotiations to extend his contract now that they’ve inked Theo Hernandez to a long-term deal. This deal his a good chance of happening because Leao has expressed interest in staying at AC Milan, but it’s still a work in progress."
