Hakan Calhanoglu moved last summer to Inter as a free agent after failing to find an agreement with the Rossoneri over a contract extension.
The Turk is now a starter for Simone Inzaghi's team and ahead of yesterday's clash between Inter and Liverpool (which ended in the Nerazzurri's victory 1-0 but not qualifying to the next round), he released the following words to the microphones of UEFA:
"Inter are a very good team. The club talked to me about their goals and I understood that we want the same things."
Calhanoglu his decision to go from AC Milan to Inter:
"It was a good transfer for me, I think I made the right decision. I like to fight and contribute to both the offensive and the defensive phases of the game. In my career I’ve played as a left winger, and as a number ten, while in Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 system I play as an eight and I feel great. I feel strong mentally." (relayed by SempreInter.com).
