Alessio Romagnoli, the team's captain, missed the latest victory against Napoli away from home due to injury. His French teammate, Pierre Kalulu, replaced him as he formed a strong pairing in defence with Fikayo Tomori.
The Italian centre-back of AC Milan who is 27 years old has reportedly recovered from his blow and may be available to be selected in the team sheet in view of Empoli clash at the San Siro on March 12.
Stefano Pioli, however, will have to assess the situation in the next few training sessions which are leading to the Empoli match. Then, the gaffer shall decide if Romagnoli should play as a starter of if Kalulu will continue with Tomori.
