It's been a very good season for AC Milan so far as they currently sit at the top of the table with 63 points. There is no doubt in the club directors minds that there is a lot of work to do. First, the Rossoneri players must pour all their focus on finishing the season well. Then, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara will do their best in trying to support coach Pioli with a strong squad for next season.
In fact, there are a few players who are on the agenda in view of summer transfer market. One of the targets that may be joining the squad at Milanello for the new season is the former midfielder of Bayern Munich: Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches. Currently he plays with Lille with a contract which runs out in June 2023.
According to Italian journalist Antonio Vitiello, the AC Milan managers are still in the race for the Portuguese star. But it should be noted that there is still no agreement between both parties regarding the salary. Serie A rivals Juventus, on the other hand, remain keen on securing the player and they are also in the race with the red and black side of Milano.
