Pierre Kalulu is perhaps the name that is on the lips of AC Milan fans these days. Surely, after a great performance in Naples against Luciano Spalletti's men and the only goal scored against Empoli outside of the penalty area, he has earned all the love and trust from the supporters.
Alessio Romagnoli, club captain who has a contract running out in the summer, remained on the bench throughout the last full game. Some may argue that he was not ready to participate due to the recent injury while others argue that Pierre Kalulu may have just found a regular starting position at the expense of the former AS Roma central defender.

When Ivan Gazidis was appointed by Elliott as the CEO, there was a plan that was set. At Casa Milan, it was made known that the club will be looking for ways to strengthen the team without overspending as UEFA were breathing down on their necks. The club had to figure out a way to work within the framework of FFP. The main idea was to follow the green line: finding young prospects at lower costs and launch their potention at Milanello. This is seen through the signings of Alexis Saelemaekers, Theo Hernandez, Ismael Bennacer and more importantly: Pierre Kalulu who only cost the coffers of the club a measly 480k euros, the 21-year-old full-back who plays just as well as a centre-back too is now worth at least 20 million euros.

AC Milan now target another young talent in Kalulu-esque potential deal:
When Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara snatched Pierre Kalulu on a free transfer, a small compensation fee was paid to Olympique Lyonnais. A fee which certainly proved to be a daylight robbery and more than a bargain given the consistency that the French player is showing over the two last years, and also given his age. Now, there is another profile followed by the Rossoneri and it is Mamadou Coulibaly, as anticipated by those at La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 17-year-old talent of Monaco, Mamadou Coulibaly, is a French central midfielder. In France, they believe he is going to be the next Eduardo Camavinga who is currently with Real Madrid after having signed for them in the previous summer for a fee believed to be around 31 million euros. Milan, thanks to their chief of scouts Geoffrey Moncada, have identified the Monaco starlet.
As per sources, Milan Reports can confirm that the player is willing to leave Monaco as he is yet to have the first professional contract in his career. Right now, AC Milan seem as a great option for him, because there, he can follow the steps of his countryman Kalulu and settle there with the rest of the French-speaking players.

The player can seek to leave on a free and the Serie A giants would only just have to pay small compensation fee for the training of the player at Monaco. The youngster is exploring his options as the red and black club are not the only ones keen on him. In fact, the Monaco midfielder has a market with several other important European clubs who seek to unleash his potential soon. It will certainly not be easy, but Il Diavolo club are seriously willing to try their best to secure 'the next Camavinga'.
