"There are teams that focus on the individual and others on the game. Milan are one of those teams that put the game at the center and therefore unknown players come out, making it seem that they have always played at high levels", this is how Arrigo Sacchi started in his piece to La Gazzetta dello Sport today when discussing the current form of the AC Milan squad who are now at the top of the table with 63 points.
He added:
"What Milan are doing is a masterpiece, by investing not a lot and respecting the budgets they could win the Scudetto."
"I sincerely wish it (winning the Scudetto) because I owe a lot to this club but also because I like how Milan play: they are not the strongest team, but they are the one that has played better so far."
Sacchi concluded:
"Then sometimes it happens, like for example against Empoli, Milan did not play very well and they can't always go really well. If they bet on the individual, there are certainly teams with higher individual values."
