On the occasion of the presentation of Peppe Di Stefano's book “Milanello", AC Milan's full-back, Davide Calabria spoke to the microphones of Sky Sport Italia and said the following:
"Milanello is my every day life. I go there every day. It is my life. I remember my first time very well. It is a place that has that magic that remains in your heart, you feel the story. It is always an honour to set foor in this sports centre."
What do you say to new arrivals at AC Milan about Milanello?
"I think they understand it themselves. Many say that Milanello is beautiful because you can perceive the history of this fantastic club."
He continued:
"You understand the importance of wearing this shirt. Milanello is part of the history of the club, it is essential to be a man of depth and then show on the pitch what you can be worth as a player."
How would you like to have your photo on the walls of Milanello?
"I think it's every player's goal to be able to be on those diamonds and be there forever, that would be great. We are trying our best to be there on those walls."
Davide Calabria on which Milanello character he never met but would like to and who is the greatest champion that he has worked with:
"A difficult choice to say who I would like to know more, I would almost like to know them all from the first to the last. Now being able to work with Paolo (Maldini) is an incredible thing. He is one of the most important captains in the history of football. I grew up with him. As a child, I played with his son at Vismara and now working with him is a great emotion."
