Divock Origi is heavily linked with a summer move to the San Siro these days. As per numerous media outlets, he is getting closer to reaching a total agreement with the Rossoneri.
According to Calcio Mercato, a basis agreement was actually reached between the Serie A giants and the player for a post-tax salary of 4 million euros. The agreement could be finalised in the coming weeks. Paolo Maldini, for his part, really likes the Belgian star and would like to have him in the team next season to reinforce the attacking department further.

Origi, on the other hand, sees that his period at Liverpool has ended. He wants to move elsewhere where he can be more important to a team and AC Milan's project really attracts him. It is a big club with great history, competing for trophies and has potential to grow. The 26-year-old has a contract which expires at the end of the season and Il Diavolo club board wants to secure his signature on a free.
It should be noted, though, that Liverpool could be able to exercise the renewal option if Origi makes a certain set number of appearances with the Reds. However, it seems that Origi is unlikely to hit that target as of now.
