Fikayo Tomori joined AC Milan on loan in January 2021 and has impressed quite a lot in the period leading to the end of that season. The Rossoneri sealed that campaign by finishing second in the league and thus qualifying to Champions League football for the first time in almost 8 years.
The English centre-back has thrived a lot at the San Siro under the guidance of Stefano Pioli. The buy-option was activated in the 2021 summer and the former Chelsea man continued on becoming one of the defensive pillars, even despite the absence of veteran Simon Kjaer.

The defender number 23 granted an interview to The Guardian about the traits and features of Italian football and how he is adapting to life in Italy. He also revealed that he helped his ex teammate at Chelsea to make the switch from Stamford Bridge to the Olimpico stadium to play for AS Roma.
Tomori said the following words:
"When he said Roma was on the table, I said: ‘Bro this is a good league. I felt like it would develop his game a lot. He has scored a lot of goals this season for Roma, they’re fighting for a Champions League spot. Definitely, it’s helped him and definitely I gave him rave reviews about Serie A because I enjoyed myself so much the first six months."
