In an interview with the official Serie A channel, Roberto Donadoni, former AC Milan midfielder, talked about the Rossoneri and Stefano Pioli:
"Leao, if he has space, becomes phenomenal. He struggles a little bit more in tight spaces but he has this speed, agility and technique that allow him to hurt his opponents. When a coach has a player with that potential available at his disposal, then he has a great advantage."

Donadoni talked about his days at Milan:
"We were a team that put everything into practice even in training. The games always ended 1-0, 2-1, because there was great intensity and balance between the possession and non-possession phases. Sacchi and Capello had managed to instill this kind of attitude and mentality. Pioli also has a mentality of this type and he knows very well that it is very important to be able to find the right combination between the two phases and to make the team as balanced as possible. Milan now have a clear goal in mind: to keep the top of the table as much as possible by aiming to win the championship as it should be."

Donadoni on the game against Bologna:
"It will be a difficult match. However, I believe that these are the circumstances that allow you to make a leap in quality."
