Rafael Leao's contract with AC Milan expires in June 2024. The Portuguese left-winger's stay at the San Siro has been full of ups and downs but compared to last season, he has improved significantly this year despite the recent drop of form for all the Rossoneri players in the attacking department.

Rafael Leao's potential is there. Many clubs are on alert regarding his situation as they value his talent and quality. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, for their part, know that they have a jewel on their hands and they want to keep the former Lille star happy and satisfied with a new contract that would be valid until June 2026, as per multiple reports.

According to a report by Calciomercatonews.com, however, Manchester City's boss Pep Guardiola is an admirer of the former Sporting Lisbon player. The English club has no financial problems and could choose to go after Leao's signature. Milan, for their part, value the player at 90 million euros.
Man City, though, want to match that financial demand by offering cash plus player. In this sense, Ismael Bennacer's teammate in the national team, Riyad Mahez, could be offered in an exchange deal.

Rafael Leao this season has been able to collect 11 goals and 6 assists to his name after 35 appearances between Serie A, Champions League and Coppa Italia. It remains to be seen how everything will unfold this summer, if Guardiola will get his man or if Milan will be able to extend the winger's contract.
