AC Milan today managed to snatch a very important win against Genoa. 3 points were finally snatched thanks to a goal scored around the 10 minute mark by Rafael Leao after a beautiful and accurate cross by Pierre Kalulu who plays as a right-back. Then, Junior Messias added the second in 85th minute.
Davide Calabria was meant to start the game in his usual spot. However, as reported earlier, he had to skip the game after experiencing some discomfort during the warm-up session before the match against Genoa. Stefano Pioli had to use Matteo Gabbia as the centre-back next to Fikayo Tomori while the French versatile starlet Pierre Kalulu was deployed as a right-back.
This is the official lineup that was used by the Milan club coach:
4-2-3-1: Maignan; Kalulu, Gabbia, Tomori, Hernández; Tonali, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Kessie, Leão; Giroud
As for Genoa, they also used the 4-2-3-1 module:
Sirigu; Hefti, Østigård, Bani, Vásquez; Galdames, Badelj; Ekuban, Amiri, Frendrup; Piccoli.
The match was difficult as expected, despite the early goal for the Rossoneri. There were not much spaces. However, the Rossoneri managed to keep themselves in the lead.

AC Milan played the game and held the ball well at some times. But, the performance was not always there. Towards the end of the match, the Brazilian winger Junior Messias who entered from the bench sealed the win for his team as he scored the second goal. Stefano Pioli, therefore, can relax a little as his team finally break the curse and get back to scoring goals.
