AC Milan director, Paolo Maldini, spoke to DAZN minutes before kick-off of AC Milan - Genoa match. He said these following words:
"We worked well this week, as we always do. Fewer matches are missing and more opportunities become important. Also considering the result of Inter, tonight we just have to win."
On the January transfer market:
"There was no availability to intervene in attack in January. We felt strong. We started the year well with very good results. As for the defense, Kalulu went beyond all expectations. 'Ibra's prolonged absence is a problem for us."
On Divock Origi:
"With gamedays to go, I would only think about this season for now", declared Maldini
On scoring difficulties:
"We also talked about it with the coach. We don't know the real motivation. There is probably a bit of tension these guys are not used to, only few of them have fought to win a championship."
Maldini on the rumours of AC Milan being sold to InvestCorp:
"I know little, it is normal that in the future of Milan there may also be a sale. I don't know when that moment will be. With a few days to go, I think it is in everyone's interest to try to win this championship and also, we have the semi-final of the Italian Cup to play."
