Paolo Maldini, legendary captain of AC Milan, and the current technical area director of the Rossoneri club has been mentioned in a comparison between himself and Real Madrid's star midfielder Luka Modric by coach Carlo Ancelotti.
The Italian experienced tactician had the pleasure and honour of coaching many greats in the world of football, including the legendary Paolo Maldini at AC Milan where they wrote history together for years.
The coach also won 3 Champions League titles as head coach, two of which were with AC Milan while the other one was the famous 'La Decima' lifted by Los Blancos in Lisbon against Atlético Madrid.
Ancelotti spoke to the media about Luka Modric's future with Real Madrid and said the following words:
"Luka Modrić will finish his career here at Real Madrid. I don’t know when but it will happen. This is the idea of the club and Luka."
He added:
"Modrić won't have problems to renew the contract. I compare him to Paolo Maldini", as relayed by Fabrizio Romano.
