Despite all the talk about a possible change of ownership in the coming period, the boss and players are totally focused on the next match against Inter, as they should be. It is a Coppa Italia semi-final second leg. The first one ended in a goalless draw and now, AC Milan are hoping they could secure a win to the final.

The Rossoneri tactician has a dilemma to deal with now. Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Alessandro Florenzi and Alessio Romagnoli are four defenders who are currently out due to injuries. (The Italian right-back who is 25 years old has the flu and his presence is in doubt). To deal with the issue, Kalulu could be moved to right-back while Gabbia (whose condition should be assessed) would play as the centre-back next to Tomori. If not, there are a few other solutions:
Solution 1:
Pioli could consider using Alexis Saelemaekers as the right-back with Junior Messias on the same flank by giving them defensive instructions to stop the danger coming Ivan Perisic or Robin Gosens.

Solution 2:
There is a possibility of seeing Rade Krunic play in defence or even Franck Kessié who had experience playing as a centre-back in his early days of his career.
They are clearly two very extreme solutions, perhaps too much, but also in this case the necessity and the effectiveness prevail, writes Milan Press.

Solution 3, Pioli could use a 3-man defence:
Last, but not least, there is the possibility of seeing a 3-man defence. The Rossoneri boss could use use Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Ballo-Touré with Theo Hernandez and Alexis Saelemaekers as wing-backs.
