AC Milan technical area director, Paolo Maldini, spoke to the microphones of SportMediaset minutes before kick-off to talk about the game against Inter and also about the future of the Rossoneri club in light of rumours regarding the ownership change.
Here are his words:
"A sale? The team welcomed it with curiosity. We have many things to think about anyway. 5 Serie A matches and hopefully two games of the Italian Cup. The difference between winning and not winning is enormous, many of these players have not experienced it and I think it is logical to concentrate on the issues of the field."
How important would a win would be tonight to boost the championship race:
"It is important also in terms of team mood, strength, and superiority compared to other teams since it is the two of us and Napoli who compete for the Scudetto. On a mental level, it could count for a lot."

Paolo Maldini added:
"Scoring goals? We don't have a goal problem. There was a momentary problem, at the same time we had very solid defensive stability. We need to look for balance."
