As per La Gazzetta dello Sport today, AC Milan are still absolutely furious regarding the call that the referee made. There is anger from the fans, obviously, but also from Stefano Pioli and all of the management. At Casa Milan, they are feeling penalised due to the many negative episodes in the season.
For the AIA, writes the newspaper, the doubt remains. Rocchi (referee designator) acquits Mariani but it is still an extreme case. The goal could not have been canceled. At the end of the season, the rule of active and passive offside will have to be re-discussed.
