AC Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks back fondly on his time at MLS. In an interview which he granted to ESPN, he said the following:
"I am grateful to the MLS because they gave me the opportunity to feel alive. But I was still too alive, so I was too good for the whole competition. This is what I showed. I was the best ever to have played in MLS and I'm not saying it because of ego."
He added:
"I enjoyed it (the experience). I like the way they worked, the way they did marketing things. I think playing in MLS was the best way to come back after injury. I was in the best condition ever. I am very proud to have played in the MLS because they told me that there were empty stadiums but with me it never happened."
Ibrahimovic on his future:
"You never know, maybe one day I'll be back. I'll be able to remind them of what real football is. Maybe I'll come back and have my own club."
