The AC Milan legendary boss, Arrigo Sacchi, made his statements to Gazzetta.it microphones regarding the championship race in Serie A:
"I was moved to see and feel the enthusiasm of the Rossoneri fans who dragged the team. A collective that is really doing something extraordinary. The relationship between Milan and the other teams, even in terms of balance sheets, is too different. Inter have an individual quality, much higher experience, but being a collective allows Milan to stay there, something that is always little known to Italian football. It is one of the teams that comes closest to international football. He is doing something similar to what Atalanta did."

Sacchi concluded:
"Yesterday, Milan had a difficult game because Fiorentina are one of those teams that know how to do the press. There are now balanced teams in Italy. At Milan, now Verona, Atalanta and Sassuolo have remained. The first two take away the initiative, they try to make you play at a pace you are not used to: the team will have to overcome. We have to understand one thing: there are teams that have morally already won. The investments made on unknown players, the budget halved: congratulations to Maldini and his colleagues. Winning with debt means cheating."
