Alessio Romagnoli's contract with AC Milan is set to expire at the end of the current season. As reported widely before already, Lazio are interested in signing him. The Biancocelesti is the club that the Rossonero number 13 always cheered for as a boy.

At a certain point in time, it seemed like a very likely possibility for the former AS Roma defender to sign for Lazio. However, he may not end up there after all.
In fact, as per Tuttosport, the offer sent by Claudio Lotito to sign Romagnoli on a free transfer is lower than what Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have put on the table for the contract extension (the Rossoneri offered 2.8 million euros plus bonuses).
For this reason, the newspaper reports that Romagnoli is now evaluating the possibility of staying at Milanello.
