AC Milan has an interesting future ahead. The work of Elliott management is clear for everyone to see on a financial and club level. The sporting results which the club directors, coach and players take credit for are also a huge boost in making the Rossoneri an important force once again in the Serie A league.

To make the squad more competitive, there will be important additions in the summer, especially concerning the right-wing. But first, some unwanted profiles may be on the way out like Samu Castillejo and Junior Messias.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan had already made moves around a month ago to start negotiations with Spanish giants Real Madrid for right-winger Marco Asensio.
The Spanish star of Los Blancos recently changed agents (he is now represented by Jorge Mendes) and the club directors want to understand now what the intentions of the Portuguese super agent are.
The option of seeing Asensio sign with Milan eventually seems concrete even if Real Madrid have indeed raised the offer to renew the contract which expires in June 2023.
Asensio is asking for 7 million euros for a salary while the Rossoneri are offering 5 million euros post-tax salary including bonuses.

Now, the focus is on ending the season. Once it is over, AC Milan and Real Madrid will meet up to hold discussions about Marco Asensio and Brahim Diaz and see what can be done regarding those two fronts.
