AC Milan are on the road to secure the Serie A trophy after years of drought in the trophy cabinet at Casa Milan. Now, though, Stefano Pioli has a real chance in front of him to be rewarded with his first major trophy in his managerial career.

The sporting results are going well obviously. The club management is showing all kinds of support and serenity to keep their squad focused on finishing the campaign well. Once the season ends, there will be a lot to deal with.
Besides the ownership potential change which could alter a lot for in terms of the club direction. Milan have to think of the transfer market window and what their plans should be.
But, it is important to start first with players already at Milanello, such as Rafael Leao. He is a star at AC Milan and the jewel in coach Stefano Pioli's system. The former Lille star has a contract which expires in June 2024. The winger who is represented by Jorge Mendes is worried about the legal dispute with Sporting Lisbon which is why his agent has asked to increase the new salary offer. Rafael Leao, in fact, would be asking for a post-tax yearly wage higher than what was proposed by the Rossoneri (which is at 4.5 million euros plus bonuses).

The situation, as Calciomercato.com explains it is clear: AC Milan directors have no intentions of depriving themselves of Rafael Leao. However, and in the meantime, Jorge Mendes has warned the red and black club of an offer coming from a club in the Premier League.
The Rossoneri who have the ownership question still to be solved yet, will not sell Rafael Leao's card unless a big offer around at least 70 million euros arrives.
