AC Milan CEO, Ivan Gazidis, spoke to the official channel of the club on Twitch. He discussed the current atmosphere in Milanello and the great support from the Rossoneri fans:
"Milan is my home. We are all thinking about Sunday's match but I would like to thank our fans from my heart. On Sunday at San Siro, we will reach one million admissions in the stadium since the beginning of the season. This support from the fans has given us great strength, this unity, this will gives us a lot of awareness. We can't wait for Sunday. They follow us from all over the world, we have more than 500 million fans around the world. On Sunday there will be around 10 thousand fans from abroad. There have been 192 countries in our stadium this season, we are all part of a big family that gives us personal feelings. Even on the road, in the cold, in the rain, everywhere we felt support, strength and for this I believe that this season would not have been possible without this sense of belonging", declared Gazidis.
He added:
"The fans have been the protagonists of this season, they have always been with us. We felt their passion, their feelings. All. The team, the coach and the staff."
Gazidis continued:
"We feel all the same emotion. it's something special, it doesn't happen often to have this feeling and this passion on the part of the fans. Everything is possible for this club, I believe in these players, I believe in our abilities, from the beginning. Now we have difficult challenges ahead of us but we have confidence and strength and this strength comes to us from our fans. I'm also waiting impatiently for Milan-Atalanta, the passion for Milan is special, this pride doesn't exist in every club. For me, it is a great pleasure to see this club with this unity. This morning, I was at Milanello and I saw the players focused and calm, with the same approach we have experienced in the past match after match. They know how to control emotions but also their qualities. Now it is necessary to take this opportunity, with a positive attitude. I don't feel fear but a big desire to take these last two great steps."
He concluded:
"Even Pioli is very calm. He is not only a great coach, but also a great man. We would all like to do this for him too. He is a special person. Thanks again to all the fans."
