AC Milan continue with a steady pace towards the Scudetto dream. The Rossoneri men, coached by Stefano Pioli, snatched 3 precious points today against Atalanta. This 2-0 victory means that Il Diavolo now just need a draw away from home against Sassuolo to lift the famous old trophy.
The support from the fans was truly incredible since the start of the game until the very end. The supporters, who came from all over the world to see their team kept cheering on as well over 70 thousand were at the Meazza facility.

Stefano Pioli decided to deploy the following lineup with the usual 4-2-3-1 module:
Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Hernández; Tonali, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Krunić, Leão; Giroud. (On the bench: Mirante, Tătărușanu; Ballo-Touré, Florenzi, Gabbia, Romagnoli; Bakayoko, Bennacer, Díaz, Messias; Ibrahimović, Rebić).
As for the visitors, they took the field with the following module:
3-4-2-1: Musso; de Roon, Djimsiti, Palomino; Hateboer, Koopmeiners, Freuler, Zappacosta; Pessina, Pašalić; Muriel. (On the bench: Rossi, Sportiello; Demiral, Mæhle, Scalvini; Malinovskyi, Miranchuk; Boga, Mihăilă, Zapata).

The game started with Stefano Pioli's men trying to keep possession of the ball and try to find space. However, the Bergamo-based club mostly held their ground well and marked the key players tightly, like Leao, Giroud and Theo Hernandez. Besides, some offensive attempts here and there, it was clear that there was a lot of tension and pressure that made the players feeling a little 'shaky'.

The second-half though was different in terms of pace. Milan went forward more and had more open spaces. Soon enough, Rafael Leao capitalised on a lovely long ball sent from the back by Junior Messias in the 56th minute. The Portuguese winger made the finish look so easy and effortless. He stepped up yet again for the Rossoneri when they needed him the most.

A spectacular second goal came to confirm the Rossoneri's superior qualities today thanks to an individual effort from Theo Hernandez who crossed almost the whole pitch with his agility and speed. The former Real Madrid man successfully scored the second goal and gave his teammates a breathing space with a 2-0 lead.

The game ended with that scoreline. 3 points are secured. Now, only a point is needed against Atalanta to win the Scudetto title. Concentration and motivation are needed to keep up this winning streak going.
