AC Milan's right-back, Davide Calabria, granted an interview to today's edition of Corriere della Sera and said the following words:
"As a kid, up to fifteen, I never played. I was always on the bench, more than once I even thought about quitting. I didn't want to burden my parents, who took me every day from Brescia to Milan for training. It cost us a lot of money, but I held on, we held on. This Scudetto pays me back for everything. When did we know we were going to win? From the first day of training camp. We've been saying it all season, the Scudetto was our goal. We had the qualities and we proved it, right from the first day."
On beating Inter in the Scudetto race:
"It was necessary for Italian football for Milan and Inter to return to these levels, it is a rivalry that is good for the whole movement. It was great to play against Inter, who are a great team and have done very well in the past years. We will also have fun in the future."
Calabria on the secret to success:
"The group. There were better equipped teams, with more experience, who had been fighting at the top for more years than us, but we always had the certainty of being able to do it. The right mix of young and experienced players has been created, who are essential to win. There was a particular energy, we felt it."
On Stefano Pioli:
"He listened to us, we listened to him and all this happened. I'm proud and happy for the coach because he deserved this."
On teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic:
"He was fundamental. Zlatan is a champion who has given so much. I hope he can get better, we are sorry he has had problems in recent months, even if he has been invaluable with his leadership, with his words, his gestures. I hope he gets better next year. We still need him."
Calabria on wearing the captain's armband:
"Let's see what Romagnoli will do. I believe he is talking to the club. These are things, however, that do not matter. I'm available, I don't care about the captain's armband. The important thing is to be there."
On Paolo Maldini:
"He doesn't want to interfere in field affairs and I think he's doing very well, his role is different, but seeing him on the sidelines gives you something more."

On the fact of having a young Milan:
"The Growth Decree is severely limiting the growth of young Italians, because it is better for a club to buy abroad. This damages the Italian football system. It is no coincidence that we will not go to the World Cup twice in a row."
On the goals for the next season:
"We want to do more in the Champions League, without a doubt. Milan are used to playing at high levels. Now let's enjoy the Scudetto, but we know what we want from the future."
