Pierre Kalulu had a very positive season with AC Milan. He is now rewarded with the Scudetto to his career and hopefully that is the first title of many others to come with the red and black faithful.
The French starlet spoke to Vista's microphones. Here are his words, as relayed by Milan News:
"I started my career as a central defender, so I've always been used to playing in that position. From Saint Priest, where we already had a solid line-up, I went to OL. But I wasn't very convinced to go there, I did not want to get out of my comfort zone for a variety of reasons. It was still a pleasure to play with them, we were determined to win. A few years ago I was not the most anticipated, but I was a good player: I was playing good games and others not so good . I've always been a kid with the 'I know what I'm capable of' mentality."
On the future:
"You are the one who signs the paper, no one holds your hand and convinces you. The final decision is up to you. If you make a mistake it is your decision. Here, it is the same thing. Over the years, my goal was to reach increasingly important goals."
Kalulu on the San Siro:
"Here we are in our place, where you feel at home, where magic, discussions and last-minute events happen."
On his arrival to AC Milan:
"I was convinced that it was not important where I was going. Between my professional and vital future - due to Covid - I was blocked by a great dilemma, really. There was a quarantine that scared me enough . All kinds of activities stopped. I tell you that even while I was doing the medical examination, I wondered what I was doing there at that moment. But as soon as I had the documents in front of me and signed, I didn't think about it anymore because it was now part of the past. before signing at Milan, I had never signed a professional contract."

On his debut:
"When you are not playing you have no right to be happy, you have to pursue your goals. I struggle and sweat. In my first match I was so busy that I didn't feel the pressure. Now I would run as I did then. The first game went very well and the coach noticed how much I was running and my strength. But obviously there were things to improve."
On Zlatan Ibrahimovic:
"While I was in my adjustment period, he was often with me. He encouraged me a lot, he gave me a boost, even asking me about my background. And then he noticed that I worked hard, he encouraged me. He liked the my attitude," declared Kalulu.
On his motto:
"What I can say to today's young people is do not waste your time, tomorrow there will be no more. The train does not wait for anyone. Regrets hurt a lot, more than fatigue. Even outside the world of football. Try it."
