Giorgio Chiellini and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are enemies on the pitch. But, they are good friends outside the football world and have enormous respect for each other. The two veterans have great careers. The Italian centre-back recognises the class of the Swede: the effort and contribution to the AC Milan team even at the age of 40. Here are his words on a live stream via Instagram:
"My best enemy was Ibrahimovic. To make myself respected as soon as I arrived in Turin, I had to prove that I was not afraid of him. I tried to make myself respected, I had and still have a very good relationship with him."
Chiellini added:
"On the pitch, we have never spared ourselves. Out of great esteem to him, I am happy that at the age of 40 he is still able to have his say."
This is not the first time the Juventus legend speaks about Ibrahimovic so fondly. In fact, a few months ago, he had wonderful words about him, which he entrusted to the microphones of The Times.
