Alessandro 'Billy' Costacurta, former legendary defender of the AC Milan now-turned pundit, has spoken to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport to comment about Paolo Maldini's excellent interview to the same newspaper.
Here are the Italian's words:
"I think he (Maldini) wants to raise the bar and improve the club. I believe these statements may be understandable from the moment no one has stepped forward and said, 'Look, there's probably a change of ownership. Given the work you have done you will be the most confirmed of all.'"
Costacurta added:
"I think he expected something like that. However, I believe that he is very useful for the improvement and to raise the quality of the club."
