AC Milan club captain Alessio Romagnoli who won himself his first league trophy last Sunday has granted an interview to the microphones of Sky Sport Italia. The Italian defender spoke about the Scudetto victory:
"In my opinion, determination made the difference, we were given up for dead right from the start. They predicted Inter as Scudetto winners. But, we knew our strength and we continued to fight."
When did the click arrive?
"In my opinion in the return derby. We suffered a lot but we came out great. Inter were a very strong team. But this year, we had the awareness of doing something great."
On the Champions League:
"Two very strong teams, they are phenomenal. We keep the Italian flag high, we hope that Ancelotti can raise it tonight."
On Charles Leclerc and his race tomorrow:
"Surely he has to believe in it. Ferrari is destined to win. Charles is doing well, the championship is long. He has to push as long as he can."
Romagnoli on his passion for racing:
"I like it a lot. When I can, I go and have fun. It is a passion that I will want to continue in the future."
On the challenge between Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen:
"Beautiful challenge, phenomenal riders. Leclerc did a spectacular job today. We don't say anything out of superstition, but let's hope for tomorrow."
Does a sportsman believe in bad luck?
"In my opinion, there are circumstances and situations, everything is always different. One must be strong to go on, I don't believe in bad luck and I hope Leclerc doesn't too."
