Will AC Milan be able to sign Sven Botman?
The Rossoneri managers, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara want to finalise the transfer of their top target for the defence: Sven Botman.
According to different past reports, the Dutchman would be close to making the switch to the San Siro. However, nothing is official just yet especially with the red and black club going into a sale phase with RedBird getting closer to complete a majority stake purchase.

Now, as Milan have not been able to close the deal for the Lille star, Newcastle are back in the race.
The Athletic revealed the background on the deal and wrote that the Premier League club directors, a few weeks ago, thought that the former Ajax talent is destined for the San Siro. But, "they have been informed that move is not sealed yet and that the Dutchman retains a desire to play in the Premier League".
More competition on the player not excluded:
Newcastle are now trying to win the player's signature with Lille looking to sell because they want to generate cash. The Magpies are aware that Sven Botman is rated by many top European clubs. But, they made it clear that they are still interested in convincing him to join them.
Head of Recruitment at Newcastle, Steve Nickson, first proposed Sven Botman with the head coach Eddie Howe impressed by the reports on the 22-year-old. But, there is an important list of alternatives including domestic profiles.
"Nathan Ake (now of Manchester City) and Lloyd Kelly, both of whom Howe signed for Bournemouth, were mentioned during meetings in January and they would be viewed as ideal recruits, although their fees may prove prohibitive", concludes The Athletic.
